Last Father's Day, June 16, is supposed to be a day to celebrate with our dad's. However, it's also the day when Maan's dad passed away. I received a message from Maan that says something like 'Please pray for my dad. I don't think we're ready to lose him'. Later that day, I learned that her dad will be cremated the same week. I wanted to go to back to Philippines to be at my friend's side to support her. Unfortunately, due to employment pass processing, I was not able to go back.
For Maan: A song says 'A moment gone is gone forever...it's like water through the hands.' But friendship, I know that the memories that you and your dad shared together will always remain in your heart. I remember a song that speaks of what you might be feeling right now.
I want you to stay
Never go away from me
Stay forever
But now, now that you're gone
All I can do is pray for you
To be here beside me again
*Why did you have to leave me
When you said that love will conquer all
Why did you have to leave me
When you said that dreaming
Was as good as reality
**And now I must move on
Trying to forget all the memories
Of you near me
But I can't let go of your love
That has taught me to hold on
I want you to stay never go away from me
Stay forever
But now, now that you're gone
All I can do is pray for you
To be here beside me again
(Repeat *)(Repeat **)(Repeat *twice)
Coda:
I want you to stay never go away from me
Stay forever
I want to stay but I have to go my way

Water Runs Dry
It is confirmed...Last Saturday, Kitty officially called it quits with my bro. Their relatiosnhip reminds me of the song Water Runs Dry by Boyz II Men:
We don’t even talk anymore
And we don’t even know what we argue about
Don’t even say I love you no more
’cause saying how we feel is no longer allowed
Some people will work things out
And some just don’t know how to change
Let’s don’t wait till the water runs dry
We might watch our whole lives pass us by
Let’s don’t wait till the water runs dry
We’ll make the biggest mistake of our lives
Don’t do it baby
While it is true that some people will try to work things out, I guess they did not reach this point....indeed water ran dry on them. Most likely they got sick and tired of their situation. I tried to figure out what went wrong in their relationship. Considering they have 2 kids, their relationship lacks trust, communication and willingness to change or compromise. These are the foundations of a relationship. Who's to blame? It takes two to tango....I just hope they did not make the biggest mistake of their lives. They have kids who don't deserve such big mistakes.

When It Rains, It Pours
The past few days have been really stressful. And this is the time when I feel that the saying 'when it rains, it pours' is very applicable to me. Here's my stress list:
1. Finding a housemate. Rent nowadays isn't cheap so it's difficult to find a person who's willing to occupy our common room. Moreover, a lot of people don't want to share the common bathroom with a guy. Of course, we won't give up Jeds. Hopefully we can find a housemate soon.
2. Sis-in-law breaks up with bro. This is the most stressful of all. I pity my bro. I pity my nephew and niece. I pity my sis-in-law though I feel that this is the smartest decision she has ever made. But, most of all, I pity my dad. He loves his grandchildren so much..they're the ones who is making him happy. Now, he feels that he's a failure...failure because he can't provide us with a happy family. (More of this issue in my next entries)
3. Found out that mister-married-guy brings home another girl. It happened not just once, twice, but thrice already. Oh well, I think he's consistently bringing home this girl. Unfortunately, we just caught him thrice. :) I pity her kids and her wife.
4. Tons of work. Actually, it's ok to have a lot of work to do. Besides, bihira lang naman mangyari sa akin yun dito hehehe. But what's disappointing is having irresponsible people as your teammates. Enough said.
5. Monday morning encounter with cab driver. This one is so petty, but it definitely added to my stress list. Of course, it's Monday. I should be starting the week right. But Mr.Cab driver went left instead of going straight (my usual route). It's disappointing because Alain and I even waited for 9:30 AM so that we can get rid of the SGD2 peak period surcharge. In the end, taxi fare was more than SGD3 than what we'd normally pay because of traffic jam and this route is longer than my usual route.
6. My bestfriend announced that he got his gf pregnant and he's marrying her this August. This came to me as a shock. The past weeks, he has been telling me that they are not ready to get married yet and he is no longer as happy as he was during the frist few months of their relationship. She's too immature and obviously they are not emotionally prepared. So, I was really surprised to hear this news. In any case, I know he's happy to be a dad. And I know he wants to get married too. I can't say I didn't see it coming 'coz he's asking me about engagement rings and he's asking me for symptoms of pregnancy (as if I'm an expert on this!). I'm hopeful that I can attend his wedding though..if not then the baptism of his child. Just wishing them the best...
7. Found out that my gf's planned wedding is...err...err..I don't know. I'm not sure if it's postponed or cancelled but I'd prefer the latter. :) I just feel she deserves someone better. His so called fiance doesn't even have concrete wedding plans. They suddenly stopped preparing and talking about wedding preps. One day, gf's fiance promised to go to hers apartment after work. She waited til 11:30 and found out that fiance went out with his officemates. When they met, she told him that she has been doing that to her often times. He answered, "That's the guy you're gonna marry'. Grrr....so confident and can I just say, ang kapal ng mukha! Instead, she said 'Hindi ka ba magchange for me?' He did not answer. If I were in her shoes, I would have answered 'That's the guy I would never marry. I wil never be a priority. Marry your friends!'
8. Network outage. Just when you are in the mood to work and finish your tasks, you lose connection! What a timing! On a lighter note, at least I can write in my blog. :)

Dreaming of Rain
Since my blog's name has something to do about rain, I searched for the interpretation when you dream of rain and here's what I got:
To dream that you get wet from the rain, signifies that you will soon be cleansed from your troubles and problems. Rain also symbolizes fertility and renewal.
To see and hear rain falling, symbolizes forgiveness and grace.
To dream that you are watching the rain from a window, indicates that spiritual ideas and insights are being brought to your awareness. It may also symbolize fortune and love.
To hear the tapping of the rain on the roof, denotes spiritual ideas and blessings coming to mind. It may also suggest that you will receive much joy from your home life.
The symbolism for rain is generally that of cleansing or purity. What this usually indicates is that the dreamer has either recently “cleaned up” or “improved” an area of his or her life.
The prophesy for rain dreams is considered to be very good - indicating luck and happiness ahead.

Why Blog?
It's funny why I started blogging. I told myself (and some friends) that I won't blog. But no... the other night, I couldn't sleep. I was in bed at 12:45 am but I couldn't sleep. My mind is too active that I found myself scrambling letters....thinking of anagrams for my name. I was able to form 'Roam Joan' from Maan Rojo. Then I challenged myself to create an anagram using my married name. And I came up with this blog's title. Yeah, yeah...I know you're probably thinking I'm nerd. hehe. Before I fell asleep, I had a lot of things/ideas in mind. And so I thought, ok I'll try to blog. I think I fell asleep at 2 am already.
